Who we are and what we do

Mental Health & Wellbeing team

Being a student is exciting and fun, however it can also be stressful at times. It is really important to look after your wellbeing during this time.

The Mental Health and Wellbeing Team at LSBU offer a confidential and collaborative space to discuss what’s on your mind and can also advise and signpost you to available support. We can refer students to counselling if this seems appropriate.

Disability & Dyslexia Support (DDS) team

Disability & Dyslexia Support (DDS) is a dedicated service for students who have a disability, mental health condition, medical condition or specific learning difficulties (including dyslexia). DDS provide advice on available support and will help coordinate your support to ensure that there are no barriers to your learning, enabling you to get the most out of your time at LSBU.

We understand that every student is different and that each person’s disability can affect them in different ways. By discussing your needs and tailoring an individual support plan, we aim to help you achieve the success you’re capable of.
