Your IT accounts when you leave LSBU

When you leave LSBU

Once you have finished your course, your IT accounts will be disabled and the data will be deleted.

Once the accounts are deleted, you will not be able to access your files, your emails or any other university resources attached to these accounts.

The last day of your final module

Library accounts

Please ensure you have returned all your library books and paid any outstanding fines.

You can check your account for loans and pay fines online. Payment cannot be taken over the phone. You can pay by credit/debit card at the library help desk on 1 East, Perry Library or at the Help Desk at Havering Campus Library.

If you have lost a book you will be asked to pay the replacement cost. Please inform the library that you have lost the book and they will invoice your library account. Refunds cannot be given if you then find the book!

Moodle VLE

Please download and save to an external device or cloud storage, any information related to your module that you wish to keep.

 

The day after the end date of your course

Microsoft Office 365 installed
on personal devices

Once you are no longer an LSBU student, all Microsoft Office programs that you have installed on personal devices will lose their functionality - you'll be able to access and read your files but not edit them. Microsoft will offer you the option to continue on the same basis as before once you have purchased a subscription

OneDrive

Ensure you have transferred all files from your LSBU OneDrive account as this will not be accessible after you have left the university

All software licences downloaded onto personal devices

Any software you have installed on LSBU student licences will cease to be authorised.

One year following the last day of your final module

Email account

You have one year from the end of your final course to keep using your LSBU email account. Use this time to inform people of your new personal email address and to forward or save any emails and information that you wish to keep. Do not leave it to the last minute, as you may forget or lose track of time!

My LSBU

After one year, you will no longer be able to login to My LSBU.

Campus computers

If you would like to continue to use computers and printers on campus after this year, please contact the LSBU Alumni Association for an Alumni access card – free of charge! Then visit the Perry Library help desks for a visitor username and password.

On campus computer i:drive

Please save any data or files that you wish to keep onto an external device or cloud storage.

Print credit

If you have any remaining credit attached to your LSBU print account, this can be transferred onto a Guest Print Card. Please ask at one of the library help desks.

Alumni Association

LSBU Alumni Association

Once you have left LSBU, we hope you will stay in touch via the

LSBU Alumni Association.

You can register for free and get an Access Card in order to continue to use certain facilities on campus.
