Re-opening Services

The Perry Library is Open

We are operating a walk in service please see details. Please see our Reduced Services page.

Our help desks in the Perry Library will remain closed. Student support services will continue online - contact details can be found below.

Havering Campus To Open With Reduced Services

Havering Campus Library will be reopening from Monday 17th August

Opening hours will initially be Monday to Friday 11am to 3pm

Services will be on the same basis as at Perry Library - with a reduced number of study spaces and PCs both in the Library and the IT suite

Book/physical collections will be open for use

Access will be 'walk in' and at busy times we may have to stop access temporarily as at PL

Staff will be on site to support the 'self service' operation but

Enquiry services remain online and by phone

Extra Services - Reduced operation

Extra Services for Students with Disabilities and Part-Time Students

 

If you’re studying part-time we know you might have extra time pressures and not be able to come to campus that often

We can help with:

Books By Post

Any loanable book on our catalogue can be posted out to you. Just fill in our postal loan form to request

 

Photocopying and Scanning

We can photocopy or scan any journal articles or sections of books that we have in our collection. We will then send it to you by post or email.

Request your copies/scans 

There is a charge for each printed page we copy and send - it's the same price as if you copied the pages on campus

 

Books Put Aside for you

We can fetch books and other items from our shelves and keep them on the hold shelf at Perry Library for you to collect. We will keep them for up to a week. To request books to be kept for you please use our put aside request form

Online Resources

Almost all of our online resources such as journals and e-books are available to you at home or wherever you have internet access. Please see our guide below to accessing resources when you are not on campus.

The following services are currently not available.

  • Print & Bind requests.
  • Online poster printing services.
  • Inter-library loans for physical books.
  • Registration for SCONUL Access scheme.

We are now renewing books and DVDs on a weekly basis. If for any reason, they cannot be renewed, you can now return the item via the book returns drop box at the entrance to the Perry Library.
