And the winner is................

We had over sixty amazing entries to this competition and it was incredibly hard to pick a winner!

But we had to! So the winner is........

A boat. Mediterranean. Swallowed. Sea prevails

Well done to the student studying at Notre Dame School in Southwark!

World Book Day

Celebrate ‘World Book Day’ with the London South Bank University Outreach and Library teams

Competition time!

We’re holding a competition for you to be in with a chance of winning a £30 amazon voucher. It’s time to get creative and write your very own story with one catch – it can only be 6 words long!

There are no rules on topic, genre or content, so use your imagination to wow us with your words. Here’s an example created by our team:

Boy lost. Wolves howl. Darkness looms.

This competition is open to those aged 18 and under. Submissions with offensive or discriminatory language will not be tolerated and your entry will be rejected. Entries should be emailed to with the heading ‘World Book Day Competition’ and include your name and your school/ college. The deadline for submission is 9pm on the 4th March 2021. The winner will be decided by the LSBU outreach and library teams and announced at 2pm on 11th March 2021 on twitter and by email.

We can’t wait to read what you come up with!

Happy World Book Day!
