Format of the reference

You will need:

  • Name of the maker/designer
  • Year/s
  • Name of the object
  • Type of object
  • Place of Archive/Museum
  • Name of Archive/Museum
  • Catalogue/reference number

 

Format:

Surname, Initials of maker/designer. (Responsibility eg. maker or designer) (Year) Name of object. [Type of object] Place of Archive/Museum: Name of Archive/Museum. Catalogue/reference number.

Example:

Westwood, V. (designer) (1993) Platform shoes. [Shoes]. London: Victoria and Albert Museum. Museum no.: T.225:1,2-1993.

In-text citation: (Westwood, 1993)
