We’ve increased your allocation to 20 books and 5 DVDs in line with postgraduate students.
Any book in our catalogue, which is available to borrow, can be posted out to you. Just fill in the postal loan form at to make a request.
We can photocopy or scan journal articles or sections of books held in the collection and send them out to you by post or email.
Make an online request for an item you want to borrow from the collection, we will collect it from the shelf and place it on the hold shelf for up to a week ready for you to collect when you come onto campus.
Almost all our online journals and e-books are available to you wherever you have internet access. Remember to connect via the GlobalProtect VPN to access them.

If you need a book or journal article which the library doesn't hold in its collection, apply for an interlibrary loan and we will try and obtain a copy from another library. As a final year student, you can request as many items as you need.
Increased opening hours at the Perry Library
All the main spaces, the PC labs, book collections and the laptop loan service in the Perry Library are now available 24 hours a day during term-time weekdays from 9am each Sunday through to Midnight the following Friday. On Saturdays we are open 9am to 9pm. Find our latest opening hours here:
Book a 30-minute appointment for a small group or 1-2-1 session
You can book an appointment for advice and support on your assignment. The librarians can help you think about key words or concepts for searching, building a search strategy, using specific databases, and referencing your sources. Book via MyAccount where you will find plenty of available appointments.

These are designed for all 3rd year students working on a final year project or dissertation. No booking is required, just drop in to ask your quick queries about researching and formatting your dissertation or research project. The SCONUL access scheme has now reopened allowing our students (and staff) to access other University libraries across London and the UK. Although not every University is taking part yet, LSBU is one of around 150 Universities to have restarted the scheme. Many University libraries use Eduroam and you will be able to connect using your LSBU username and password.
The British Library is the UK's largest library with over 150 million items in most known languages. Everyone can use the Reading Rooms for study and research, and you don’t need to pre-book. Once you have a Reader Pass, you’re in!
