We’ll automatically renew items on your record a week before they are due back as long as
Please look out for our library renewal emails which will let you know if your renewals have been successful (and the new due dates for your items) or if some items can’t be renewed and need to be returned to us.
It’s important to check these emails carefully when you get them. If an item has been reserved by another student, it must be returned by the due date. We charge fines for items which are returned late. Our current fines for books/DVDs are £2 per day when overdue.
You can still log into to your library account at any time to renew your books or DVDs manually if you want
We’ve got over 200,000 books and DVDs across our libraries. You can borrow items using your LSBU ID card.Use the self-issue machines on Level 1 East and 1 West of the Perry Library.

If you have lost your student ID contact the Student Life Centre for a new one, and let the Library know so we can block your old card
