Service Status: Updates

New Students - Setting up IT accounts

Once you have completed your enrolment, you will be sent an email with your LSBU email address, username and a temporary password. You must change that password before you can access your accounts.

If you have not yet received your email address and temporary password, please get in touch with us via MyAccount or visit our help desks at the library.


If you have received your username and temporary password but it does not work, please get in touch with us via MyAccount.

Moodle - slow to access

There is an issue which is affecting the performance of Moodle and causing slow access. Our IT engineers are currently working with our 3rd party partners to investigate and determine the root cause of the issue affecting Moodle performance.

Some students are seeing the following error message when they try to login to the Moodle VLE for the first time:

The user account <username> is not available on this site

MyAccount - Single Sign-on error message

THIS ISSUE IS NOW RESOLVED. PLEASE TRY TO LOG IN AGAIN - MyAccount

Some students are seeing this error message when they try to access their MyAccount. IT Services are investigating this error as a priority.

my account single sign in error message - we can't log you in because of an issue with single sign-on.

 

Steps to resolve this error message:

  1. Try a different browser
  2. Try a different device
  3. Clear your cookies and cache - How to Guide
  4. Reset your password - web page

 

Still can't login to MyAccount?

If you still get the same error message please get in touch with us via the Chat Bot on the university homepage: lsbu.ac.uk

  1. Fill in your contact details
  2. Topic: Library and IT support
  3. Give a clear explanation of what account you are trying to access and the error message that you see.
